The proposed site for the child care centre is located at 13 Crusade avenue, Padstow. The site gently slopes from the southern edge to the northern edge with a gradient of three metres. The outdoor kids play area is placed on the southern side following the site topology and natural weather conditions analysis. Placing the building block on the northern side helps in creating a buffer between the street and the outdoor play area. The building block gains ample natural sunlight, this helps in reducing heat loss during winters. The introduction of voids on the periphery of the building mass helps to manage shadows into neighbouring properties.

Internally the building is divided into two levels. The entrance lobby is in-plane with the natural exterior ground level, and the indoor play areas are in-level with the natural ground level of the outdoor play area. This helps in creating a building façade that is in harmony with the front context.
